Welcome to Cain Creek Banjos, a one man shop in Stafford, Virginia building a small number of custom banjos each year.

Every banjo I build is a one-off creation for a specific client which matches their unique playing style and matches the “character” of the picker.

I prefer to work with unusual woods, such as cocobolo, persimmon, zebra wood, and others that sound great, and will set your banjo apart from the crowd.

As a design philosophy, I lean towards wooden binding and inlays, natural wood finishes, and other aspects that let the beauty of the wood shine through and speak for itself.
